SPINNING AND WEAVING DEMOS

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18 @ 1 - 4  PM ~ Learn about spinning and weaving from live demonstrations and conversations with members of the Lancaster Spinners and Weavers Guild.  Try your hand at it.  Learn what goes into a sheep to shawl competition.  Refreshments served.  Drop in between 1 and 4 p.m.  ALL AGES WELCOME.  Also, check out the lobby display cases of their products and tools.

ICE AGE TALES FROM PREHISTORIC PENNSYLVANIA BY ROBIN MOORE

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25 @ 1:30 PM ~ Join Author, Award-winning Storyteller and Primitive Living Instructor Robin Moore for "Hunting the Mastodon, Running with the Caribou: Ice Age Tales from Prehistoric Pennsylvania", a FAMILY program which combines storytelling, primitive living skills and natural history into a new approach to learning how people lived in Pennsylvania 10,000 years ago, at the end of the Last Great Ice Age. The program begins at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 25th.  Using only the tools available to man during the Ice Age, Moore crafted weapons Ice Age Man used to hunt and the clothing worn to survive the brutal elements.  All ages over 8 will find this fascinating and entertaining.
